Penny shows & a new dog ;-)

Since our last update, Soletrader Penny Lane has been shown three times in junior class – and has achieved three CACs and one BOB! We are very happy with the way she has developed, she looks absolutely gorgeous and we love her type. Her biggest challenge is the fact, that she doesn’t like showing that much… :-/ Hopefully the anxiety has to do with her age and her second heat and we hope in time (and with a lot of socialization) it will better. Also – we have a new addition to the kennel. 🙂 We lost Yolene – our last Dogue de Bordeaux – late February. Ironically enough, the day before Yolene’s injury, we had decided to get in touch with Kristine Schoubye from Kennel North-End Bordeauxs, as she had an upcoming litter, that we very much wanted to have a female puppy from. The litter was born a…

Show weekend 11.02.2017 & 12.02.2017

Carla and Penny were both entered in shows on February 11 and 12. Saturday was the Basset Club show in Vonge and Sunday the Kennel Club show in Fredericia. It was the show debut for Penny in the puppy class and we were very excited to see how she performed in the ring – and she did well. ;o) She went BIS Puppy on Saturday in the Basset Club. And she continued her success on Sunday at the Kennel Club show, where the judge “shortlisted” her in his book in a big group of 30-40 puppies, but unfortunately she wasn’t picked out for the Top 4. However, she did us very proud! ;o) Carla did very well at the Basset Club show and went Best Bitch and BOS, thereby achieving her second CAC. ;o) Sunday wasn’t as good for her and she only got Excellent but without a CK. But…

Happy New Year and new photos

Happy New Year to all! ;o) We (Peter, that is) has spent the last few months fencing our entire field and has now turned it into a HUGE pen to walk the dogs! Carla and Penny are both very excited, as they now get to run without leashes – something that obviously was completely impossible with PBGVs before the fence came up! It’s a joy for all of us – humans and dogs – to be able to walk with the pack without leashes…which was in fact the main reason for moving out here to the countryside in the first place. And it has been very easy so far with Dogue de Bordeauxs and an English Bulldog, who never ran very far away and could always be called back….however, that all changed when the PBGVs moved in! So, we cancelled the lease contract on our field, that has been let…

New dog and Copenhagen Winner 2016

Since our last update we have added another female PBGV to our kennel – Soletrader Penny Lane. ;o) We picked up Penny a couple of weeks ago, she is now 4 months old and looking very promising. The other dogs have all been absolutely great and it has been so easy bringing Penny into the pack! Carla has certainly been missing a younger dog to play with, and she and Penny very quickly became best friends. :o) Our two old girls – Yolene (Dogue de bordeaux) and Jelly (English bulldog), both 8 years – are also thrilled about Penny’s arival…as Carla now leaves them alone and they can finally have som peace and quiet…;o)    As for shows it has been very quiet during the summer, but we went to the Int. Dogshow in Ballerup this weekend with Carla. We brought Penny too off course, but only for the experience, she wasn’t entered – and once…

Dansk Kennel Klub show, Fredericia 13.02.2016

Carla_Fredericia

Carla (Around Yes Powerdrop) went to her first show on February 13th 2016, just a few days after she turned 6 months, and she was entered in puppy class. She did very well and we are very content – below is her critique:

Critique: typical head, feminine expression, front needs to improve, well balanced silhuet, correct topline, a bit soft puppy coat, correct movement from any angel. Placing 1st, SL and BIK
