A quiet period…

It has been a while since the last update, because things have been rather quiet around here. Our DdB female Valka unfortunately had a severe pyometra in June and had an emergency sterilization performed, so we now only have sterilized females… Therefore, we will have no puppies for quite some time, as we have no plans of adding more dogs to our pack right now. We now have 3 PBGVs and 3 DdBs and as all our dogs live with us as family members in the house, we think this is enough. ;o) So, no new dogs until some of the present dogs are no longer here, and hopefully they will all be here for some time. As of now, our dog interest is focused on our oldest daughter Selma’s juniorhandling. She just turned 14 this summer and is now competing in the Maxi-group (14-17 years), so the competition definitely…

Specialty Show Norway 29 March 2024

Peter went to Norway with Krondal’s T-Rex “Hondo” to attend the breed specialty under the Dutch judge and breed specialist Bas Bosch. It went very well and Hondo was Best Male and BOS, thereby achieving a Norwegian CAC and he is therefore now also NORWEGIAN CHAMPION. ;o)

This weekend we attended the International Dog Show in Fredericia. Krondal’s T-Rex “Hondo” was entered in champion class and did a very good job, winning Best Male and Best of Breed. He thereby achieved the last CACIB needed and can now add the title INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION to his list of show resultat. ;o) To make the result even better, the judge in Fredericia who awarded Hondo his last CACIB was the breed specialist Madame Sylvaine Tompousky, who is present vice-president (former president) for the French Dogue de Bordeaux Club, and it’s always a special feeling to win under a breed specialist judge. Our daughter Selma competed in juniorhandling both days in Fredericia. She also did very well this weekend, being shortlisted as the final 6 in the mini-group one day, and being among the final 4 in the mini-group the second day, thereby going to the finals. MY DOG show Gothenburg, Sweden

Peter and Selma went to the MY DOG show yesterday in Gothenburg, Sweden with Krondal’s T-Rex “Hondo” and Senseo Supernova. Hondo was entered in champion class and won Best Male and BOB with a Swedish CAC and the CACIB. Hondo is thereby new Swedish Champion. ;o) Also, he now has CACIBs from 3 different countries, and he just needs one more CACIB after February 10th to become International Champion. (he won his first CACIB on Februrary 10th 2023, and there must be 12 months between the first and the last CACIB). So we are hoping this title is within reach. ;o) Selma took Nova in juniorhandling in Gothenburg and did a very good job, ending up 2nd in her class (Mini, 10-13 years). It is so great to see the connection between Selma and Nova and we are looking forward to their continued work (and hopefully success) in the juniorhandling…

End of show year 2023

A few weeks ago we attended the last big show of the year, the Danish Kennel Club Winter Wonder Show in Herning. Our big boy Krondal’s T-Rex “Hondo” was entered in champion class and did us very proud by winning Best Male and BOB out of 25 entries. He thereby achieved the title Danish Winner 2023. As a result of Hondo’s show achievements this year, he is Danish Kennel Club Breed Winner 2023, being the DdB with the most points in Danish Kennel Club shows in 2023. Our daughter Selma competed in juniorhandling at the Danish Kennel Club Winter Wonder Show, and although she did a good job, she wasn’t picked for the finals this time. Once again, she showed the wonderful american akita Senseo Supernova and we are so thankful to Kennel Senseo for this opportunity for Selma – they are such a great team! Selma is qualified for…

Int. shows in Roskilde and Rostock, September 2023

Another couple of show weekends are over, this time in Roskilde and Rostock. First, we had a 3-day show weekend in Roskilde on 22-23-24 September. We had entered Krondal’s T-Rex “Hondo” in champion class on Saturday – he was only entered this one day because of the title Copenhagen Winner, that was awarded on Saturday. And he did very well and ended up Best Male and Best Of Breed with the title Copenhagen Winner 2023. ;o) Selma was entered in juniorhandling all three days in Roskilde with the American Akita “Senseo Supernova”, that she is still working so well with. Again a big field of juniorhandlers with 15-16 handlers in both Mini and Maxi, so more than 30 juniorhandlers were competing all three days. Selma was not picked out for the finals on Friday, but she was picked among the 4 Minis to go in the finals both Saturday and…

DKK Vejen show 19-20 August 2023

Peter and Selma went to the Danish Kennel Club show in Vejen on the 19th and 20th of August – Peter to show Hondo and Selma to participate in juniorhandling. Hondo turned 2 years in July, so he was entered in Open Class and we were hoping that he could achieve the last CAC to become Danish champion. It went very well, Hondo won Best Of Breed (BOB) both days, and can now add the title Danish champion to his list of achievements. Selma was entered in Juniorhandling Mini (10-13 years) both days with the American Akita “Senseo Supernova”. It was a big field – 16 juniorhandlers on Saturday and 12 juniorhandlers on Sunday. But nonetheless, Selma was picked out among the 4 contestants to go through to the finals both days – very well done! ;o) In the finals, the 4 juniorhandlers from the Mini group (10-13 years) compete…

We are very happy to announce, that our DdB male Krondal’s T-Rex “Hondo” will be the father of a litter at Kennel Friendly Red Giant (Hammel, Denmark). The mother of the litter Cru Acajou Nova “Fiona” has been scanned and confirmed pregnant with 9 puppies. The puppies are to arrive around April 20th. PBGV puppies & DdB HD and show

As we have previously posted, our PBGV female Peanut was bred to our male Whiskey in January. We have now done an ultrasound scan on Peanut, and it confirms that she is expecting puppies, however only a very small litter. The puppies are to arrive in the middle of March. Our DdB youngsters turned 18 months in January, which means we can now do the official hip x-ray to determine their HD-status. We have x-rayed the hips of our male Krondal’s T-Rex “Hondo” and it has been set to an A on one side and B on the other side, which we are very happy about. Hondo and his half-sister Valka went to the International Dog Show in Fredericia on February 11th and did us proud by winning Best Male and Best Female. Danish Winner Show 2022

This weekend was the Danish Kennel Club’s last show of the year, which also included the title Danish Winner 2022. Our young boy Krondal’s T-Rex “Hondo” did us very proud by winning Best Of Breed at only 15 months of age. He thereby gained the titles Danish Junior Winner 2022 and Danish Winner 2022, thereby following in his halfsister Valka’s footsteps, as she took both titles last year. ;o)
