Planned PBGV litter and Vesper growing up

Our latest addition to the kennel – North End Bordeaux Akane “Vesper” – is growing up fast and turns 5 months tomorrow. She is developing very nicely, although at this age most DdBs look slightly funny with big ears, big feet and no body – but for her breed, she is developing according to plan. ;o) New pictures of Vesper in her gallery. As to the PBGVs we are expecting our first litter in the spring of 2018! We will be breeding Around Yes Powerdrop “Carla” in her next heat, which we expect will be in Dec17/Jan18 and the puppies will arrive in Feb/Mar 2018 if all goes well.

Penny shows & a new dog ;-)

Since our last update, Soletrader Penny Lane has been shown three times in junior class – and has achieved three CACs and one BOB! She wouldn’t use one of her hind legs, and the vet confirmed our misgivings in the afternoon – Yolene had torn the ligament in her knee. The message was clear – Yolene needed to go through surgery or be put down. Off course we had discussed the alternatives before we went to the vet and we agreed that she shouldn’t go through surgery at the age of 8½ years – but standing there with Yolene at the vet, I was not at all ready to make the decision. So we went back home with our dog and a big package of morphine pills, and spend the weekend considering the…
