Planned PBGV litters 2019 & Vesper show year 2018

In the beginning of the month, we attended the two last shows of the year with Vesper. First IDS in Herning and the weekend after, the Year End show with the Danish DdB Club. Vesper did well and was placed in the Best Female competition 3 out of 4 days, thereby receiving enough points to be awarded both “Junior Female of the Year 2018” and “Female of the Year 2018” at the Danish DdB Club – needless to say, we are very proud of our young girl, who is only 20 months old. ;o) We will now take a break from the showrings until February, when the next season kicks off. As to our PBGVs, we are planning on breeding both Carla and Penny in their next heat, which means we are expecting two litters in the beginning of 2019. We have chosen a male for Carla, but haven’t settled…

IDS Rostock 7 October 2018 & HD result for Vesper

We are SO happy to announce, that Vesper’s official HD results have come in – and she got an A!! This is absolutely amazing and we are so thrilled!! Aside of the great health results, she also did very well this weekend at the IDS in Rostock, Germany, where she won BOB with CAC and CACIB and also achieved the title Rostock Sieger 2018. We have 2 double-shows left this year with Vesper on the first two weekends of November – and then we’ll have a break from the showrings until February next year… ;o) Very tired dog in the restaurant at the ferry home from Rostock… ;o)

IDS Ballerup 22.-23. September 2018

Another show weekend, this time in Ballerup just outside of Copenhagen. Vesper and Penny were both entered, Vesper was in Intermediate class, as she has just turned 18 months, Penny was in open class. First up was Vesper on Saturday and she did very well. She ended up as Best Female and BOS, taking the CAC and CACIB as well as the title Copenhagen Winner 2018 – well done! ;o) Penny was at the show on Sunday, but sadly she dislikes showing just as much as Vesper and Carla enjoy it… In the past 6 months, Peter has put a lot of work into getting her to like the showring, and we did think that it had helped – but obviously training is one thing and “for real” is something else… Things were fine outside the ring – but as soon as Penny entered the ring, her tail dropped completely…

French dogue de bordeaux Clubmatch – Nationale d’Élevage

This year we decided to go to the French clubmatch for the dogue de bordeaux – the Nationale d’Élevage – with our junior female Vesper. Being the breed’s native country, the Nationale d’Élevage in France is a very special and unique show with dogs from all over Europe. The show was held in the city of Tilque at the Chateau de Tilque – an absolutely beautiful setting for the event, with the show rings situated on the lawns right in front of the castle. There were 110 entries in total, 13 entries in the junior female class alone – and Vesper had an amazing weekend ending up winning Best Junior Female! Needless to say, we are over the moon and so proud of her achievement! ;o) Peter unfortunately couldn’t be part of the trip, so Vesper was handled by her breeder, Kristine Schoubye, in the ring. Pictures below from our…

Vesper Junior Club Champion & DDB Junior Winner 2018

What a weekend!! The Danish Dogue de Bordeaux Club had a doubleshow this weekend with the Club Match on Saturday judged by breed specialist Mr. Jürgen Sauer. North-End Bordeauxs Akane “Vesper” was entered both days in Junior Class and won the class both days, thereby achieving 2 Junior Club CACs making her JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPION! ;oD The Club Match on Saturday also gave her the title DDB JUNIOR WINNER 2018. She went 4th best female on Saturday – on Sunday she went all the way winning Best Female and ending up as BOS. I’ll just repeat myself – what a weekend!! ;oD

Vesper Danish Junior Champion & POAG results for the X-litter

On May 11, 12 and 13 the Danish Kennel Club had a 3-day show in Roskilde. We only showed Vesper, as Carla just had her puppies and Penny is not yet 2 years old and therefore don’t need more certificates until after her 2 year birthday. Vesper did very well and took the Junior CAC all three days – which means she became Junior Champion on the last day!! 😀 On top of that, she also managed to take the CAC two out of the three days – so she now only needs one CAC after her 2 year birthday to become Danish Champion. Needless to say, we were over the moon and very happy with her achievements! 😉 And more good news from Vesper – she has had her elbows x-rayed and received the official status: AD/0! So right now we can’t ask for more from her. 😀 Speaking…

Playtime ;o)

The puppies are developing fast and are now getting very curious about the other dogs, Penny and Vesper. Vesper has completely fallen in love with the entire gang of petits and is ready to adopt all 7 puppies, if Carla gets tired of them… ;o) Videos below of playtime with “aunt Vesper”. The litter has now been registered with the kennel club, which means that all 7 names have been chosen, however not all puppies have been picked out yet by their families… We will put the names on the X-litter page, once the puppies have been picked out – so far the two boys and two females have been picked out, their names are on the X-litter page. ;o)

Carla’s belly & happy birthday Vesper

Carla now only has one week left of her pregnancy and her belly is now quite obvious, to say the least! She has certainly slowed down her tempo, and she has given up on chasing the birds in our field – Penny has to do the job alone now. ;o) Carla is doing good and doesn’t seem to be too bothered with the growing belly – and she still enjoys flatting out in the couch in the evening… ;o) Today is Vesper’s 1st birthday. We are so very happy with our big girl and she is everything we could have hoped for – and then some! ;o)

DDDBK Show 18.11.2017 and ECVO eye test of the PBGVs

The last show of the year for us was the Danish Dogue de Bordeaux Club Christmas show on November 18th. North-End Bordeauxs Akane “Vesper” was entered in Puppy class at 8 months of age and did very well. She was awarded Best Puppy out of a total of 6 puppies, so we ended the show year in the best possible way. ;o) We think she is developing very nicely, still looking really harmonic and well put together, and we are looking very much forward to showing her next year, when she will be a Junior. As to the PBGVs, our two girls Around Yes Powerdrop “Carla” and Soletrader Penny Lane “Penny” went for an ECVO eye test last week. Carla is POAG clear and Penny is POAG carrier, however we wanted to do the ECVO test as well to check for other potential eye conditions. Both dogs got perfect tests…

DKK Int. Show 23.-24. September 2017

This weekend was the Danish Kennel Club Copenhagen Winner Show and we had entered PBGV Around Yes Powerdrop “Carla” and DDB North-End Bordeauxs Akane “Vesper”. Carla was showing on Saturday in Open Class and did very well, ending up as Best Female and BOS. With that, she achieved her third CAC and became Danish Champion as well as Copenhagen Winner 2017! BOB was Taglines Double The Fun with Soletrader. Vesper was showing on Sunday in Puppy Class. She too did very well and ended up as BOB Puppy. Obviously we are very excited and happy with the results this weekend. ;oD
