PBGV puppies and DdB show

The PBGV puppies are growing SO fast and are already 4 weeks old! Continueing backwards through the alphabet we have reached the letter S, and on the pedigrees we have named the babies Krondal’s Sprocket (male) Krondal’s Skye (female) This weekend we went to the 2-day DdB club show in Jelling. Vesper and Hondo were entered both days, Valka only the first day. We are very happy with the results on our dogs, and Hondo came home with 3 new titles; Junior Champion, Junior Club Champion and Ddb Junior Winner 2022. Vesper won the champion class Saturday and was Reserve Best Female, Sunday she was 3rd in champion class with Excellent+CK. Valka was only entered Saturday and became 2nd in intermediate class with Excellent+CK.

Puppies and show

Firstly: Peanut’s puppies have arrived – 1 boy and 1 girl. Mom and puppies are all doing great and with only two puppies, it’s an easy job for Peanut. ;o) Both puppies are reserved. Last weekend was a DKK 3-day show in Roskilde. Luckily it’s only a 10-minute drive from us, so we could easily attend the show and go home during the day to check up on Peanut and the puppies. We entered Humle (PBGV) two days, Valka (DdB) two days and Hondo (DdB) all three days. Humle and Valka did good, they both got Excellent both days but unfortunately did not receive any CACs or CACIBs. Hondo has just turned 9 months and was entered in Junior Class and he managed to win the class all three days and received a total of 2 x Junior CAC and 1 x CAC – so we are off course very…

Danish Basset Club show with Whiskey

This weekend we went to the Basset Club show in Nyborg with Whiskey. Humle was 3 days short of being 2 years old, so we are waiting for the next show to bring her. ;o) Selma was showing Whiskey (as she always does) and it went very well. Whiskey was entered in Champion Class and became Best Male and BOS and thereby achieved his first Club Certificate. Furthermore, Selma participated in the junior handling competition, which she won, so the day was a big success in every way. ;o) Peanut’s pregnancy is going as planned and she is doing good – 3 more weeks to go. ;o)

PBGV upcoming litter & new DKCH title

Peanut was scanned this week and she IS pregnant – however, she is only carrying two puppies. We don’t know the gender of the puppies yet – time will tell when they arrive mid May – but we know for sure that it will only be a very small litter of two. We are hoping for another PBGV litter in the end of the year from Humle, but it all depends on the timing of her next heat, whether or not we will breed her this year. Also, our PBGV male Krondal’s Whiskey In The Jar is now DANISH CHAMPION! Our daughter Selma has proudly handled him in all his shows and she has done a great job, which has now paid off with his champion title! ;o)

Christmas Show at the Basset Club

Final show of the year was this weekend, where we attended the annual Christmas Show at the Danish Basset Club. We only brought Whiskey, and off course our oldest daughter Selma showed him as always – he is her dog. ;o) She has really developed a lot as a handler, and allthough there is off course plenty to learn, she is doing such a good job with Whiskey – and she is only 11 years old, so she has plenty of time to practice…not to mention plenty of dogs to practice with, as our pack now holds 8 dogs! ;oD Whiskey was entered in intermediate class and got a very nice critique (including a comment to Selma about the “very nice presentation”). Whiskey ended up as 2nd Best Male, and as the Best Male was already a champion, Whiskey received the CAC. ;o) He now has 2 CACs and he…

3-day Kennel Club Show

This weekend was the annual last show of the year in the Danish Kennel Club. Normally it is a 2-day show, but this year an extra day had been added as Denmark was hosting the Nordic Winner Show 2021. So, off we went for the full 3-day experience with our two adult DdB females, Vesper and Valka. Vesper was entered into Champion Class and Valka was in Junior Class (she is 15 months old). The weekend was a huge succes for our dogs, and they came home with the following results: North-End Bordeaux’s Akane “Vesper”: Friday Nov 12th 2021 – International Show (12 females entered): Best Female #1 with CACIB – BOS Saturday Nov 13th 2021 – Nordic Winner Show (14 females entered): Best Female #3 Sunday Nov 14th 2021 – Danish Winner Show (15 females entered): Best Female #2 Krondal’s Valka: Friday Nov 12th 2021 – International Show (12…

Puppies and show

Our PBGV litter will be 8 weeks on Tuesday and we have taken new pictures of the whole gang today – see them under the Our Breeding / U-litter menu. Also, all puppies have now been microchipped, which means they now have their pedigree name as follows: Krondal’s Uma (purple female) Krondal’s Upsy-Daisy (red female) Krondal’s Umberto (green male) Krondal’s Ultron (turquoise male) Krondal’s Uncas (brown male) Krondal’s Uno (black male) Krondal’s Uzo (blue male) This weekend was the annual Danish Dogue de Bordeaux Club Show, and Valka was entered in Junior Class (she is almost 13 months old). This was her first show and what a start! She won Junior Class and received a Junior CAC and went on to become 3rd best female (after two champions), which means she also received the CAC. On top of that she got the title Danish Dogue de Bordeaux Junior Winner 2021.…

DdB puppies and show results

It has been all about the dogs for the last 4 weeks since the PBGV puppies arrived, and nothing different this week with the arrival of our DdB puppies and a succesful show-day for Peter and Selma. ;o) Vesper’s puppies arrived on July 25th. We knew it would be a small litter – the scanning showed 3, perhaps 4 puppies. However, there were only 2 puppies left on the day of arrival – a male and a female. We had originally decided to keep a female, but after seeing the puppies and being very happy with them so far, we have decided to keep them both and see how they develop. So no puppies will be available from this litter, both will be staying with us for now. This weekend, Peter and Selma went to a DKK show with Whiskey and Humle. It went very well for them both –…

Back to normal

Everything is back to normal after the DdB puppies left in September – well, two of them left and the last one, Valka, stayed with us. ;o) Valka is developing just like a normal DdB puppy – long legs, long nose, big ears! I am sure she will grow into proportions again later on, but at this age most DdB puppies look funny, so she is developing fully according to plan… ;o) We are waiting for our PBGV female Carla to start her heat…nothing yet, but it should be just around the corner. We will breed her in her upcoming heat, more info on that will follow in our Planned Litters page shortly. All the PBGV youngsters (Peanut, Whiskey and Humle) are doing great and just enjoying life in the countryside, although we are a bit sad that we are not able to show them, as all shows are cancelled…

NEW champion

Vesper was entered to the 3-day show in Roskilde this weekend, and we were hoping to achieve a certificate, which would make her Danish Champion, now that she has turned 2 years old. The show went far better than we could have hoped for, and Vesper ended up as not only Best Female but also BOB both Friday and Saturday! ;o) On Sunday she was 2nd Best Female and after the weekend she is now both DANISH CHAMPION and SWEDISH CHAMPION (via the certificate she got in Malmö in March). We off course brought Carla along to the show area as well, even though she wasn’t entered in the show – but she loves coming along and enjoyed herself meeting other dogs and playing and relaxing with the children. ;o) After 3 days of showing, Vesper was tired when we came home on Sunday. ;o)
