Vesper Danish Junior Champion & POAG results for the X-litter

On May 11, 12 and 13 the Danish Kennel Club had a 3-day show in Roskilde. We only showed Vesper, as Carla just had her puppies and Penny is not yet 2 years old and therefore don’t need more certificates until after her 2 year birthday. Vesper did very well and took the Junior CAC all three days – which means she became Junior Champion on the last day!! 😀 On top of that, she also managed to take the CAC two out of the three days – so she now only needs one CAC after her 2 year birthday to become Danish Champion. Needless to say, we were over the moon and very happy with her achievements! 😉 And more good news from Vesper – she has had her elbows x-rayed and received the official status: AD/0! So right now we can’t ask for more from her. 😀

Speaking of health, we also got the POAG DNA results for the X-litter – all results are posted on the X-litter page and look as follows:

Xigurd – clear
XIV Louis – clear
Xocholo – carrier
Xigne – clear
Xia – carrier
Xoffy – clear
Xigga – clear

We have been looking for a male for Penny for quite some time now and have found it not to be that easy, as Penny is POAG carrier and we therefore need to find a clear male. Based on those recent experiences, we have had long and hard considerations and have decided not to keep Xia, as she turned out to be POAG carrier too… 🙁 Xia has therefore moved to a new family yesterday, who we are sure will spoil and love her and give her a wonderful home, just like her 6 brothers and sisters… 😉
