Puppies are here

Vesper’s puppies have arrived! Not everything went as we had hoped during birth and not all puppies made it into this world alive, but we have a beautiful litter now of 3 female puppies – one week old today and all doing well. ;o) Today the puppies got their colored collars, so it’s easier to tell them apart quickly – we now have a yellow girl, a purple girl and a light pink girl. ;o) We will keep one of the puppies ourselves and the other two puppies already have wonderful families waiting for them, so there are no puppies available.

Pregnancy confirmed and new PBGV

All good news in this newspost! Vesper has been scanned and the mating to Freak was successful – puppies are on the way! Vesper is due end of July and we can’t wait to have DdB puppies in the house again! :o) Also, we have picked up our latest addition to the PBGV pack today at Kennel Around in Sweden; Around Keeping The Dream Alive “Humle”. We were very excited about this mating and absolutely thrilled, that Annicka would let us buy one of the female puppies. Our pack of dogs has welcomed Humle as if she had always lived here, such a joy. This video is taken just an hour after she arrived: IMG_6597

Vesper has been mated

Vesper was mated last week to North-End Bordeauxs Touchdown “Freak” and according to the bloodtests and the vet who performed the insemination, everything looked right and the timing was spot-on. ;o) So now there is nothing left to do but to keep our fingers crossed that DdB puppies are on the way. ;o) We will do a pregnancy scan on Vesper end of June and we will off course post the result here in the news section, as soon as we know.

New PBGV & planned DdB litter

It’s about time for an update! Let me start by saying, that it is not lack of news that’s the reason for the quiet time in our news section…only lack of time. ;o) A lot has happened – first of all our latest addition to our PBGV pack; the adorable Black Majesty No Strings Attached “Peanut”. We picked up Peanut in Croatia in the beginning of March – just before the corona lock-down. Peanut is such a sweatheart with the best temper ever and she very quickly became best friends with our homebred Whiskey, who is two weeks younger. The two pups are now really enjoying eachother’s company – chasing each other from one end of the house to the other or just curling up together in a dog bed for a nap. :o) Both Peanut and Whiskey have been added to the “Our PBGVs” page, and we hope to…

PBGV puppies – pregnancy confirmed!

After two years with no puppies, we are so happy to announce that we are finally awaiting PBGV puppies again! Around Yes Powerdrop “Carla” has been bred to the lovely male Around Mixed Breed and the pregnancy has been confirmed. The scan however showed, that Carla is only carrying two puppies, so only a small litter. The birth date has been set to January 22nd 2020. :o) Our DdB female North-End Bordeauxs Akane “Vesper” was also bred in the beginning of this month, but unfortunately the pregnancy scan showed that she is empty. :o( We will breed her again in her next heat in May/June 2020 to the same male Herry Dogue del Monticano and hopefully the next time we will have more success.

We are very happy to announce that we have a planned litter of Dogue de Bordeauxs at the end of the year. :o) We have chosen to breed our female North-End Bordeaux’s Akane “Vesper” to a lovely male from Italy, Herry Dogue Del Monticano. See the entire pedigree for the upcoming litter in our Planned Litter section, where you can also find pictures of the ancestors as well as all available HD and AA results in the pedigree. NEW champion

Vesper was entered to the 3-day show in Roskilde this weekend, and we were hoping to achieve a certificate, which would make her Danish Champion, now that she has turned 2 years old. The show went far better than we could have hoped for, and Vesper ended up as not only Best Female but also BOB both Friday and Saturday! ;o) On Sunday she was 2nd Best Female and after the weekend she is now both DANISH CHAMPION and SWEDISH CHAMPION (via the certificate she got in Malmö in March). We off course brought Carla along to the show area as well, even though she wasn’t entered in the show – but she loves coming along and enjoyed herself meeting other dogs and playing and relaxing with the children. ;o) After 3 days of showing, Vesper was tired when we came home on Sunday. ;o)

Vesper show Malmö and modeling for REDGREEN menswear ;o)

Vesper has been in the spotlight the past couple of weeks. ;o) First, we took her to IDS in Malmö on March 30th, were she went all the way in the DdB ring, ending up as Best Female and BOB with Swedish CAC and CACIB. She now has 1 CACIB from Denmark, 1 CACIB from Germany and 1 CACIB from Sweden, and she just turned 2 years in March. So we are hoping and crossing our fingers that 2019 will bring some titles for her. <3 Furthermore, Vesper has been used by the Danish brand REDGREEN modeling for their Summer/Spring 2019 menswear collection alongside Danish model and windsurfer celebrity Jesper Vesterstrøm. The REDGREEN team were so happy with the result that Vesper was invited to join the Autumn/Winter 2019 photoshoot last week as well and once again joined up with Jesper Vesterstrøm. So you’ll be seeing more of Vesper&Jesper throughout…

Planned PBGV litters 2019 & Vesper show year 2018

In the beginning of the month, we attended the two last shows of the year with Vesper. First IDS in Herning and the weekend after, the Year End show with the Danish DdB Club. Vesper did well and was placed in the Best Female competition 3 out of 4 days, thereby receiving enough points to be awarded both “Junior Female of the Year 2018” and “Female of the Year 2018” at the Danish DdB Club – needless to say, we are very proud of our young girl, who is only 20 months old. ;o) We will now take a break from the showrings until February, when the next season kicks off. As to our PBGVs, we are planning on breeding both Carla and Penny in their next heat, which means we are expecting two litters in the beginning of 2019. We have chosen a male for Carla, but haven’t settled…
